Freuder mark Knopfler is a British musician, singer and composer, one of the co-founders of the group Dire Straits. The greatest popularity as a songwriter, lead guitarist and vocalist for the band Dire Straits. His vocals are best described by the German term Sprechgesang — not quite singing, but not talking. He uses the guitar as if it is his second "voice". Up to the present time pursuing his solo career and has performed with other projects. Worked with many artists including Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, sting, Chet Atkins. Produced the albums of many musicians, including Tina Turner, Chris Rea, Bob Dylan, Emily Harris.
Knopfler is one of the best guitarists who prefer the finger technique of producing sound. He took 27th position in the list of 100 greatest guitarists of all time by the magazine rolling stone.
